Author interviews, almost 4 million SEK, and the last 24h

Greetings, Kultists! How have you been? Did you see we launched the KULT: Divinity Lost Quickstart Rules? If not, go back an update to read more about it. If you did, have you read it? Tried it? What do you think?
Well. We are headed to the final 24 hours of this campaign close to 4.000.000 SEK, which is way higher than what we ever expected to raise. We had faith the campaign would be a success, but this... this far exceeds all expectations. Thank you again for being a part of this madness! We truly believe you will greatly enjoy what's to come.
Today we're here to cast the spotlight on our writers and friends. If you haven't seen it yet, the cool people from the Illusion Horror & Con have interviewed some of the mad brains behind the campaigned collection. There are 10 interviews for you to watch replete with teasers of what's in the books, but personally what we like the most about them is that you get to meet the writers themselves—their backstories, inspirations, and unique perspectives. You can feel how much they like KULT just by watching them talk about the game. This is perhaps the greatest achievement of this collection: unique and passionate folks gathered together to bring more darkness and madness into the world of KULT. Many of them, in fact! Below is the link of the playlist. Give these interviews a listen! You won't regret it.
This is not all, of course. If you are not familiar with the Illusion Horror & Con, it is a Discord server with a strong focus on horror games (especially KULT) that helps people set up their online games and meet other like-minded roleplayers. They also organize an online convention every year where many talented people working with RPGs participate on panels about diverse topics surrounding horror and RPGs. We are present every year, as are many writers that have worked with us. While the panels are livestreamed at the time of the convention, they are also uploaded to Youtube to be watched later... and you can find all of the in their channel linked above.
We invite you to watch these panels as well. Pick a topic you like or want to learn a bit more about and give it a listen. We also invite you to follow their socials to stay up to date on any Illusion Horror & Con news—we hear they are holding a spring con soon, all online, that you may want to take a look in. Perhaps you find an open table to play KULT, or feature a game there yourself.
Anyways! Here is another video by Matthew Dawkins, also known as The Gentleman Gamer, about Trailer Park Blues. Tune in if you want to hear more about what he has envisioned for this particular scenario and what is his mindset when writing for KULT!
That is it for now. Thank you for your attention in the final day of this madness!
See you tomorrow.
Updated Quickstart Rules for KULT: Divinity Lost
over 1 year ago
– Tue, Feb 25, 2025 at 10:03:02 AM
Greetings, Kultists. Today is a special day — after a long wait, we finally bring you the updated version of the Quickstart Rules. The first and last time these have floated the net was during the first Kickstarter campaign, the one that helped us release KULT: Divinity Lost almost ten years ago. Yes, we know. We know. This madness needs a free Quickstart!
With many new Kultists joining us in this campaign, and perhaps many that have not had a chance to try KULT before, we realized that time has come to update the Quickstart. So, if you happen to be one of them, here is your chance to explore the dark worlds of KULT. This Quickstart features: ♢ An atmospheric introduction and overview of the world and mysteries of KULT. ♢ All Player Moves and all necessary rules to run the game. ♢Four Archetypes with selected Dark Secrets, Disadvantages, Advantages, and character concepts. ♢ Gamemaster guidance on how to run a KULT game, what are GM Moves, examples, and more. ♢ An overview of the product line, including what will be launched in this Kickstarter.
Thank you for your time, and we wish you find terrifying tales of woe and wonder beyond the veil. Just make sure to come back so we can hear all about it.

The Testament's Secrets: More Truths Unveiled
over 1 year ago
– Tue, Feb 18, 2025 at 01:53:24 AM
Greetings Kultists!
We have an update regarding The Seeker's Testament, our new player's guide. Previously, we announced our plan to add 30 pages of new material while presenting the Archetypes and Traits as they appear in the core book, making it a comprehensive reference for players.
However, we've decided to enhance the book's value even further by including an extensive appendix with additional material such as:
Living Standards.
Passion Moves.
Expanded Equipment.
More guides for playing Sleepers.
Additional rule variants for gaining Experience.
Inspirational Character Concepts.
As a result, the book will expand beyond our initial estimate of 140 pages to approximately 180-200 pages. While this means it will be priced as a standard book when it reaches stores and webshops. The kickstarter price is however unchanged.
As we continue development, we'd love to hear from you! What would you like to see included in this book?
Dark Soundscapes, Desolate Artworks and a New Soul for the Offering

In celebration of our ongoing Kickstarter, we’ve been in talks with Cryo Chamber and its mastermind, Simon Heath. A devoted KULT fan since the first edition, Simon has drawn inspiration from the dark cosmology of the KULT universe for many of his albums. When you listen to his projects—like Atrium Carceri—you can feel the echoes of that eerie, immersive atmosphere.
Simon was featured on the official KULT soundtrack alongside other incredible artists, but his talents go beyond soundscapes. As a skilled digital artist working in Blender, he creates vast, haunting 3D realms—and we’re excited to announce that we’re bringing him on board to contribute artwork for Metropolis! Here is one of his artworks below:
And to mark the occasion, you can grab his album Metropolis on Bandcamp for half the price! This has served as inspiration during our writing with its vast and desolate soundscapes.
Besides this news, we also have another soul to offer you. Joining the already prolific team of writers: Justin Achilli. Justin is mostly known for his multitude of work done at White Wolf, not at least the multitude of books to Vampire the Masquerade, lead designer of Vampire Requiem and co-designer of Exalted. He is also one of the creators behind the book Damnation City which made us make Labyrinths and Secret Chambers.
Justin will contribute with a personal and intimate Horror Starter for Broken Reflections. And we are very happy to have him join the Kult.
Have a weekend filled with dark soundscapes, Kultists.
