Greetings, Kultists! We hope all is well on your side of the veil.
Just a quick update to share what’s happening on our end:
We’re currently finalizing the edits of The Scarlet Bride’s third and final Act, while also waiting on a bit more artwork. Acts I and II are already in layout, and all other scenarios in the collection are laid out as well — meaning that this is the last step before we can wrap up the BETA PDF.
If all goes smoothly, it should be ready within the next week or two. We’ll follow up with a proper update once it’s released, along with details on what’s coming next. Right now we’re aiming to finish The Hour of the Flame, but more details to follow!
Helmgast & Illusion HC GM Guide
We’ll also take this opportunity to highlight a small project from The Illusion Horror & Con. They’ve invited me (Gabe) to talk about GMing KULT: Divinity Lost. The first episode is already live — you can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xx5oQyFT_A — and there’s plenty more on the way. So far, we’ve covered the core rulebook in full and wrapped up with a combat example.
In the upcoming recordings, we’ll dive into setting up a game, creating characters, and more. If there’s something specific you’d like us to explore, be sure to fill out the form in the description and let us know what you’d like to see covered in future episodes!

Greetings, Kultists! Here’s some news from the other side of the veil.
The Scarlet Bride and Other Tales (Scenario Collection)
Our plan was to have this finished by the end of this month, however the final touches on the Scarlet Bride have taken some extra time. We’re currently aiming to release the BETA PDF by the end of February.
The Scarlet Bride: Writing is being finalized by Petter Nallo, with our editor Jacqueline Bryk already reviewing completed chapters. Gabriel Pellizzaro is handling layout as each chapter is wrapped up. Progress is steady, and everything is on track for a proper BETA release.
The Other Tales: All other scenarios in the collection have already been edited and laid out.
Other BETA PDFs
Exiled Terrors and Voices from Beyond the Veil won’t require BETA PDFs.
The Hour of the Flame is currently being finalized as well.
Metropolis will likely be the last BETA release due to its sheer size. We’ve also brought Dante, KDL’s graphic designer, on board to assist with its layout.
Starting this week, we’ll be implementing feedback from the previously released BETA PDFs. As this happens, files will be locked for further comments. Our current goal is to finalize one book per week. Hopefully more, if all goes smoothly.
Estimated Delivery Date
While we can’t yet share a precise timeline for shipping physical copies, the plan remains to release one BETA PDF per month. Orders will be locked and cards charged once all BETA PDFs are released. With only three BETA PDFs remaining, it’s likely the books will be sent to print within the next six months, allowing time to finalize orders and implement feedback.
Other News
The Black Madonna is now available for Foundry VTT! We’ve partnered with the developer behind the KULT: Divinity Lost system module to bring this legendary campaign to virtual play. BETA PDF for Broken Reflections out now

Salutations, Kultists!
Today marks a long-awaited milestone. We’ve been hard at work editing and laying out these texts over the past few weeks, and great news: the BETA PDF for Broken Reflections is now available! It comes in at nearly 200 pages and features 25 Horror Starters of varied lengths and themes. We’re genuinely proud of this collection, and we’re confident there’s something in it for everyone.
If you’ve backed or pre-ordered Broken Reflections, you can download your copy now through your Backerkit account or survey link. If you haven’t picked it up yet, you can still do so on Backerkit and get instant access.
Leaving feedback: As with the other BETA PDFs, you’ll find a link on the first page of the downloaded copy that leads to a shared Google Drive PDF where you can leave comments. At this stage, we’re mainly looking for layout issues, typos, and strange grammar or phrasing. Suggestions for content changes are welcome, but they’re unlikely to be implemented at this time. Still, feel free to email us, and we’ll review what’s feasible.

The Road Ahead
There won’t be a BETA PDF in December, but we continue to work on the other projects. We’re also taking some much-needed rest during the holidays. But don’t worry, the KULTmas tradition continues, and you’ll still receive this year’s free scenario!
In the meantime, we’re waiting on illustrations and gathering your feedback.

We’re excited to be partnering with the wonderful folks at Illusion Horror & Con. Many creators involved with KULT: Divinity Lost will be joining panels and some are running games. GM and player signups are closed, but you can watch the panels!

Releasing the BETA PDF for The Illusion and the Borderlands

Ah, The Illusion and the Borderlands…
Where do we even begin?
Kultists, this has been a truly special—and unexpectedly massive—project. What started as a modest collection of atmospheric Borderlands descriptions and story seeds slowly transformed into something far larger. We’re now looking at nearly 300 pages of content… which is three times bigger than initially anticipated. Honestly, if we hadn’t made ourselves stop, we’d probably still be adding more. There’s just so much to explore, to share, to shape.
To give you an idea of the journey: nearly every section in this book went through two or three (or more) “final” versions. We kept returning to the text. Twisting, rewriting, expanding, sacrificing, testing, and on and on. Now, to look back at the early drafts (then, “the final versions”) and compare it to the finished product brings nothing but joy.
Creating this sourcebook felt a lot like venturing into the Illusion and the Borderlands. We hope you feel the same as you make your way through these pages. That it sparks new perspectives and inspires you to journey deeper into the outskirts of the Illusion and find horrors of your own creation there. And, please, do come back to share what you’ve found!

Greatings Kultists
Hope you're doing well and enjoying the BETA PDFs of Deep Waters and The Seeker's Testament. A huge thanks to everyone leaving comments and helping us refine and improve the books.
For The Seeker's Testament, we're updating several atmospheric art pieces from the core rules to give it a fresh feel. We wanted them to be similar to the ones in the core book but still have a some difference in detail. Anton Kuzko, who created the original art a decade ago, has revisited and updated several pieces. Here are two of them that portrays Elysium:
